Duty List During My Practical Trainning.

My duty during this practical not only develop a system, but also including various of aspect such as managing, analysis, lecturing and setting computer device. Below are the duty and also the activity that I have doing during my six month practical trainning in this organization :

a) Develop a web server for learning a PHP and Macromedia Dreamweaver for student’s accommodation.

b) Manage and responsibility for facsimile if there are some paperwork send to KTB.

c) Become a operator if someone ask my information about this department or have a calling phone at my desk.

d) Teaching a Microsoft Word and look after a class when their lecturer holiday if I have to do so.

e) Helping my supervisor be a tutor for college’s student who also having practical trainning by teaching about how to develop a system using a Dreamweaver and PHP.

f) Attending a operating system class using a Linux and Unix that are teach by my supervisor.

g) Helping the ICT’s staff to record the computer’s serial number to avoid a thief .

h) Keep in the data about the computer’s serial number in the form using a Microsoft Word.

i) Carry on and setting up the computer device in the office for staff’s usage.

3.1.2 Problems

There a some trouble occur when I want to develop the system during my practical. The problems are such as :

a) Not have enough experience using a PHP dan MySQL

This is my big problem to start my practical in viewing to develop a system because it using a PHP langguage and MySQL database. So, I must learn it fastly and searching some information about to develop a system in a library and also in the internet for advance learning. This situation make the process to develop a system became lately.

b) Lack of skill using a Macromedia Dreamweaver

This also give me a problem from a biggener before I starting my system, so I make some research and try create my system myself. By doing this, it make me automaticly get a lot of skill when design my system. I also having some guide by my supervisor who is very experience and get many skill in developing system using Macromedia Dreamweaver.

c) Developing two system only in six month

For my first project I must develop a Sistem Maklumat Akademik KTB (SMA_KTB) to replace the old system that already have in this college. This developer taking almost six month to finish it and I think this is only my project during practical, but my new supervisor have give me a new system to develop by me which name Sistem Alumni KTB (SA_KTB). The problems happen when I must create and design my system not less than a month and also I must finish my report to send to UiTM also in that range.

d) User’s requirement always changing

When to develop a system, the problems which is user’s requirement always occur from time to time. This situation making the system not finish well according to the schedule because I must add and update something new according to user’s requirement. This changing not also effect to create a new page or to convert to the new one but also it involve at my database where sometime my table in database I have got to change.

my experience during practical training

KTB is a private collegue that provide programmes cooperation with univercity side including programmes for certificate, diploma and degree. Since this six month, I have get many experiences and knowledges during my practical trainning. The experience that I have are such as develop two system which name are Sistem Maklumat Akademik KTB (SMA_KTB) and Sistem Alumni KTB (SA_KTB). These system are based upon web server and they are built especially for staff and student’s usage in this collegue. The SMA_KTB is built to replace the old system which are function to insert and record the student’s data wheather they already have a Personal Adviser (PA) or not and also capable to record data for staff in this collegue. Then the second system, SA_KTB is develop to record the alumni data which the old student that had ever studied in this collegue can insert and register their name through online using this system. The alumni also can know and get the news about KTB wherever they live, so that this system can provide many information for alumni when they register in this system. These system are using PHP proggraming langguage and MySQL database. Other than that i also using Macromedia Dreamweaver to design my page. Working experience during this practical have give me more benefit and knowledge when I get a work. I glad that i had been practical in this collegue.

Nurin murder probe: Suspect may be 'Kg Baru molester'

The arrests followed new leads in the nationwide manhunt for the molester responsible for the kidnap, rape and murder of the 8-year-old.Both men were arrested at different locations on Saturday night and yesterday morning under Ops Sunti - the operation name for Nurin's case.The first suspect, a 43-year-old, was picked up in Lorong Haji Taib here.In Johor Baru, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan yesterday said a team from the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman made the arrest.
The man works as a guard in the city.The second suspect, aged 32, was arrested at an abandoned building at Lot 252-254 in Jalan Tun Razak at 10am. City CID chief SAC II Ku Chin Wah said a team from the city police Serious Crimes Division (D9) arrested the second suspect.He said the man, also a guard, was a drug addict."We are working on a new lead and their detention is necessary to help in our investigations," said Ku. The building, next to the National Library, formerly housed two private colleges. Calls made to a phone number listed on a notice posted at a guard post in the building were answered by a man claiming to be a supervisor of a security company.The man confirmed that one of his employees had been picked up by police.The second suspect bore a resemblance to a photofit of Nurin's kidnapper and was also the owner of a black Modenas Kriss motorcycle. The kidnapper had used such a motorcycle.According to sources, police had seized the motorcycle from the man who is from Kampung Paya Jaras in Sungai Buloh, as well as his handphone, two SIM cards, two helmets and a jacket.Yesterday, forensic experts examined the abandoned building for any clues linking it to the Nurin case.Bernama reported that one of the rooms had been cleaned up by the guard and furnished with a cupboard, television and mattress.
